The fascination for light, space, and psychology is primarily what defines my earlier sculptural work. I am interested in the optical and emotional effects of luminosity and immersive quality of color and light through found materials (i.e., Plexiglass).

I was inspired by the psychological works of Bruce Nauman and Hiromi Tango, in which light and color is used as a way to evoke psychological distress or therapeutic healing. I was also inspired by the Light and Space movement, taking inspiration from artists like James Turrell.
